How to Quit Your Day Job with Affiliate Marketing Programs

by Valentin Selimov

Over the years, there have been literally thousands of articles written about how to make money by joining a marketing affiliate program, but was followed with nothing to help you right now. All of that marketing affiliate program information was locked up in an eBook somewhere that cost money you may not have had at the time. So we wanted to bring you a new type of article. One that will not only get you started, but where after time you will start to see the benefits.

One of the first things you need to understand with an affiliate program, is that it’s not going to make you thousands of dollars overnight. However, if you continue to work at it, you will begin to show slow but realistic pay increases over time as you utilize the system. If you go into it with the right mindset, you’ll not only start with excitement, but maintain it as you go over the bumps and potholes on the road of affiliate marketing life.

Figure Out How Much Free Time You Have

Before you do anything else, it’s important to figure out how many hours a week you can work on your affiliate best marketing program. We’re not talking about telling yourself, “Okay, I can do anywhere from ten to twenty hours a week.” What we want is a definitive number. Something like, “I will work every night from seven o’clock to nine o’ clock for the first two months and then do a progress report.” Once you have your timeline set, then you can go about finding free to join affiliate programs.

New affiliate marketers tend to jump from thing to thing, and they fail to make any money because they don’t give one affiliate program enough time and effort to see a return. Affiliate marketers who are successful know how to put themselves in the path of people who want what they have to offer. It takes time, research and experience to be able to do this. If you can find an Internet marketing affiliate program that is selling something that everyone wants, you will automatically make sales, with little to no effort. This is not as easy as it sounds.

Marketing Affiliate Programs With Money or Without

Whether you have money or not, you can market an affiliate program effectively. If you’ve chosen to sell beach vacation rentals, Xbox video games, bottled water or whatever, if you market it correctly, you are going to start making money. There are different ways to market a product or service. Nowadays, we all hear about social networking and business networking, but you can’t spend all of your time in those communities and expect to make a profit. It’s one way to effectively advertise, but it’s not the only way, and your goal is to find a group targeted on your product or service.

Adwords is one of the best ways to get started building targeted leads for your marketing affiliate program. It does cost some money to get started. You’ll also have to do some research, or you’ll just be throwing your money away. You will need to build a keyword word list that is targeted to what you are trying to sell. Keywords are directly related to whatever you’re selling. For example, if you’re selling pocketbooks you want to find all of the words that mean pocketbook including the word pocketbook. Once you have a list of keywords, you can then go into Adwords and put up advertising. It’s one of the quickest ways to get your product out to those who are interested.

Adwords can be costly, so you might want to take a different approach. It will take a little longer to spread the word about your affiliate marketing program, but it is still possible. A couple of the ways that had been quite successful include adding a signature to your forum profile. A signature will appear on every post that you make in the forum. It’s called indirect advertising. You can also add a signature to your e-mail so that every e-mail you send out is also an advertisement. This is not as fast or direct as Adwords; however, it is a good place to start.

To Sum It All Up

When it comes to affiliate marketing patience is your best weapon. It’s going to take constant effort over the first few months to get the word out about your product or service. Some days you’re going to feel as though you’re all alone, and that all this is just a waste of time but stick with it. Just because you’re not getting a financial return immediately, does not mean that all of your effort is in vain. Promotion takes time and promoting an affiliate program is no different.

If you’re really committed to starting to make money at home through affiliate marketing, you should join an affiliate program that is as close to things which are interested in as possible. Try not to join thousands of affiliate programs, because it’s impossible to chase two rabbits at one time. What I mean by that is, you’ll wind up spreading what little money you have over a lot of programs, and you won’t get the return on investment that you want. Join one or two affiliate programs that you’re interested in, and then as you become more successful, you can add more to your affiliate program portfolio.
