The Lazy Man’s Guide To Losing Weight

by Roland du Preez

You don’t want to jog around the neighborhood! Isn’t there an easier way to lose weight without killing yourself?

If you think your are going to lose weight in a boot camp, think again - it’s not going to work. You are probably like me and many others that work on a computer all day, here are some lazy weight loss tips to get you going. You heard right, lazy and lose weight in the same sentence.

1. Walk

Yes it sounds easy, but it works, start walking but not to the kitchen for snacks. I am talking about real walking.

Walk for at hour first thing in the morning, even if the weather is’nt playing along, go to a mall. The shops are not open yet, but the mall is open early and you can walk there.

Don’t get run over by power walkers. They take over the mall and will bump you out of the way if you don’t look out for them. Perhaps you will become a mall power walker, it will help to burn more calories.

2. Swim

Do you own a lake or a swimming pool? Alright, maybe this is going to sound like more work than it’s worth but it’s worth it. Community centers, YMCAs and YWCAs and some gyms have pools. Swimming is a great way to get an aerobic workout.

If you haven’t been in the water in a while it may sound like to much work, but it’s fun. If you swim a few times a week you will burn fat.

3. Start eating more meals

If you eat more meals but smaller portions your body will be able to process calories better while it’s working to digest food. This means that if you only eat 2 or 3 meals a day your metabolic rate will be slow.

4. Stop snacking at the computer or TV.

If you have a habit of keeping a bowl of snacks right next to you most of the time, break the habit. This alone will shed a lot of weight from your stomach. Learn to say no to yourself. You can do this.

5. Get a substitute

Once you start it’s easy to swop bad food for good. When you want something sweet, eat fresh fruit and keep away from fries and shakes. Stay away from fast food restaurants for a while. Start including whole, unprocessed foods in your diet, your bond will now work at breaking these down while you’re in front of the computer.

All the work is done while you aren’t doing much, now that’s the real lazy way to start losing weight, don’t you think?
