Weight Loss: Weight Loss Motivation Secrets

Talking about the motivation and the determination to shed off some weight, many people will find that they lack them. No matter how hard they try, they just can’t bring themselves to go out and do some exercise. So, how can you ignite the fire in you again and get yourself to lose some of your weight?

The first step to garnering enough motivation to lose weight is to set specific and targeted goals. Many people came seeking help from hypnotherapists for weight loss problems all say I’m trying to lose some weight, can you help me.” From that sentence, I know that they really need help in losing weight and their probability of succeeding on their diet are slim.

Setting a very focused and targeted goal is extremely important. “trying to lose some weight” is a very weak and boring goal. Furthermore, “lose some weight” could mean anything. It could mean losing an ounce or even 100 pounds.

While doing your weight loss routines, you find yourself little or no motivation to do so. This happens because you have no idea where you are going to end up in your weight loss programs. Subconsciously, you only wanted to lose SOME weight. So, even shedding 1 pound of your weight, you have already attained your goal of losing some weight.

Yeah sure, it’s not what you really had in mind, I’m pretty sure you wanted to lose more than a pound, but sub-consciously - you’ve achieved your goal, so congratulations … and back to eating you go.

When you are dieting it is absolutely vital that you know exactly how much weight you need to lose. This will provide you with weight loss motivation and the keys to success. If you know exactly how much you are getting rid of then

- You know what you are aiming for

- You know when you have achieved what you want

- There is no confusion between your conscious and sub-conscious minds

- You can stay motivated as you progress towards your weight loss target

So, what are you waiting for? Take a fresh piece of paper and starting writing focus and specific goals regarding your weight loss. And the same saying still goes, action speaks louder than words. Get off the chair you are on and start working on your weight.
