Suit STyles - A Quick Overview Of What You Need To Know

by Victor Santerino

Defining mens suit styles is not a complicated task. The main thing a man needs to know is that their are only three main suit styles to choose from. These include the Italian, American, and British Styles.

The Italian style suit is double breasted and has slit pockets with wide lapels. Pants are always cuffed and generally have the more formal pleated rise.

This suit style is great for short and stocky men because it covers up the majority of the stomach and can hide years of inactivity. Pleated pants also do well to make make thicker legs look slimmer than normal.

This suit style is a three button model and is equipped with flap pockets. The pants are always pleated and cuffed as a result of the pleats.

The British style suit is great for men looking for a more authoritative look. This suit is much more formal and commanding than its two counterparts.

The Sac style suit, (also known as the American style suit), is found in a more revealing two button model. Look for flat front pants with both button down and slit pockets.

This type of suit is great for showing off a man’s physique. The lower neckline does a great job accentuating the chest while the flat front pants make the legs stand out more than the pleats.

This article should have given you all the knowledge you need to make your next suit purchase. Remember to make a purchase that looks great on your particular body.
