In April 2008, Nintendo releases the long awaited Wii Fit.
I know right now a lot of you may be asking “what is a Wii Fit?”. The Wii Fit, as Nintendo puts it, combines fun and fitness in one product. It can change how you exercise, how you balance, and even how you move. I bet most of you are still going “huh?”, so I’ll explain further.
The Wii Fit monitors how the user exercises, the way they balance their body and how they move. The Wii Fit video game is set to be a hugely popular addition to the Nintendo family of games and the Wii Balance Board, a peripheral controller, will be seen in the coolest gamers’ homes from April
Although the Wii Balance board looks a lot like a typical bathroom scale and can do many of its functions, it is so much more than that
The Wii Balance Board might even be more accurate than a traditional bathroom scale. But besides trying to get you off the couch, the Board also controls the game through the use of pressure sensors, which measure the person’s center of balance.
In this way the board is used to control various balances games and exercise routines that provide the kind of fun the whole family can enjoy. This is probably why so many gamers and non-gamers alike are seeking it out.
Since it was released, the Wii Fit has proved to be quite popular, disappearing from store shelves at record speeds. So, if you do not yet have a Wii Fit or a Wii to go along with it, so do yourself a favor and explore the option of having a workout device everyone in the home can appreciate.
