I don’t usually like change. Alright…I hate it. Change is bad is a mantra that I can’t keep from repeating over and over in my head. So it’s no wonder that I never embrace new products immediately. I typically can’t imagine why I would need it. I never have before, right?

Do you remember playing MASH as a kid? I can’t imagine I was the only one that enjoyed the little game. The most important part was always the “name” that you ended up married to…you know, the unsuspecting boy that had no idea he was a part of this really important fortune telling technique? Most people know someone who is wild about cars. From their earliest days, they were enamored with anything on wheels. At age two, they pointed and babbled at passing cars. In grade school they meticulously studied the details of their most loved models and eventually learned to draw them from memory. They could impress their high school friends by closing their eyes and telling the make of a car that passed by just by listening to the sound of the engine. As adults, they continued to read automobile publications and began buying their own cars.

This is a question I hear all the time - “I just got a new Tundra and I want to treat it right - should I use synthetic oil? If so, should it be full synthetic or synthetic blend?” Unfortunately, the answer is complicated. Generally speaking, because synthetic oil has fewer impurities, better properties at high temperatures, slightly better viscosity, and it is more resistant to breakdown than regular oil, synthetic is better for AN engine.
